Project Scope: New 3 story, 417K s.f. hospital with central plant housing (3) 1MW generators. Main building included (14) NICU rooms, (8) OR’s, and a Women center housing (18) LDRP rooms. Installation included Divisions 26, 27, and 28 by own forces, including patient monitoring, complete nurse call, a telemetry system, and infant security. LECO was brought in for design assist and budget pricing. Value Management was conducted and continued thru early stages of construction. Construction estimate did come in higher than budget. Some design addition costs were covered during package buy-outs without seeking VE options. Final construction costs came in at budget values.
